Where to stay for Goyang Stadium

Bruno Mars plays here in late May 2027. The Weeknd played two nights here in October 2026. Tickets list it as Seoul, but it isn't in Seoul. Goyang is a separate city, and the stadium is 24 kilometres from Seoul City Hall (31 km by road), at the end of subway Line 3. Book central Seoul because the ticket said so and you'll face the stadium crowd, a packed end-of-line station and twenty-odd stops — or a walk to a different station.

The short answer

Stay near KINTEX, next to the stadium, and walk back. Three hotels with a 24-hour desk are within about a kilometre, and you'll skip the station queue.

If you want to stay in the city, take GTX-A from KINTEX. It's seventeen minutes to Seoul Station, and the last train towards Seoul is at 00:42 — but KINTEX is a 26-minute walk from the stadium.

Line 3 is the slow option. The station at the stadium is the end of the line, the whole crowd heads there, and Jongno is twenty stops away.

What time does it finish?

Not published. Neither the stadium nor the promoters publish a finish time. For BTS in April 2026, Goyang city ran its shuttle from the stadium straight to KINTEX station until midnight after the show.

Which station to use

Daehwa is a four-minute walk from the stadium and the last stop on Line 3, so it gets very crowded. Before Coldplay's 2025 shows, Goyang's local paper warned it would be congested, with exits narrowed by construction work, and advised people to use KINTEX instead.

KINTEX is where GTX-A stops: 17 minutes to Seoul Station, last train towards Seoul 00:42. It's 2 km from the stadium, about 26 minutes on foot. For Coldplay the city ran a shuttle from the stadium to KINTEX Exit 2 every two to three minutes from 10pm — but that was for one event, so check whether it runs for your show.

By taxi or ride app

  • k.ride. Kakao Mobility's app built for visitors: it runs in English and takes cards issued abroad.
  • Kakao T. Kakao's local taxi app; k.ride is the version made for foreign travellers.
  • Uber. Uber's app hails taxis in Seoul.
  • Street taxis. Metered.

Where pickups happen: We couldn't find a published taxi rank or pickup point for the stadium. For Coldplay, the city's transport plan was a shuttle to KINTEX station, not taxis.

ToRoad distanceRough fare
Ilsan hotels2.3–3.5 km (straight line)about 5,000–7,000 won
Seoul Station30.7 km (19.1 mi)about 27,000 won

Rough fares use Goyang's official fare table for a standard taxi — 4,800 won for the first 1.6 km, then 100 won every 131 m — on the road distance we measured to Seoul Station (the Ilsan figures use Booking.com's straight-line distances), before slow-traffic time (100 won every 30 seconds). After 11pm the city adds 30%, and leaving Goyang's area adds 20%, so a late ride into Seoul costs noticeably more than the figure shown.

  • With a whole stadium leaving at once, expect to wait for a car near the gate. Walking to a KINTEX hotel, or to the station, is often quicker.
  • A taxi to Seoul Station costs roughly eight times GTX-A's base fare. On clear roads it's quicker door to door — about 31 minutes, against a 26-minute walk to KINTEX plus 17 minutes on the train.

Where the hotels are

Booking.com lists 78 properties around the stadium, 37 of them with a 24-hour front desk. The three closest hotels are within about a kilometre; beyond that, most places are in Ilsan, two to five kilometres away. Many of the listings nearest the stadium are apartments, which is why the hotels book up first.

Distances are Booking.com's straight-line figures, not walking routes.

We don't list nightly rates here: prices for these dates change too quickly, so the link shows live prices instead. "Unchecked" means we couldn't confirm the reception hours — ask the property before you book if you'll be back late. Reception hours come from each property's own listing, checked on the date at the bottom of the page. They can change, so confirm with the property if you'll arrive late.

Daehwa and KINTEX — Walk back, skip the crowd

Suits: Anyone travelling in for the show, and anyone who'd rather walk than queue with 40,000 people at one station.

Getting there: Walking distance. Sintra Hotel is about 0.5 km away, Hotel Rich 0.6 km, GloucesterHotel Kintex 1.1 km. Nothing to catch. Daehwa station is a four-minute walk if you want Line 3 the next morning.

The stadium's own district, next to the KINTEX exhibition centre, with a handful of hotels and lots of short-term apartments.

The trade-off: Not many rooms for a stadium this size, and several of the closest listings are apartments with no front desk. It books up first.

Central Seoul by GTX-A — The fast way into the city

Suits: People making a trip of it, who want the show and the city.

Getting there: A 26-minute walk to KINTEX station, then 17 minutes on GTX-A to Seoul Station. The last train towards Seoul leaves KINTEX at 00:42. The base fare is 3,200 won on weekdays and 2,850 won at weekends, plus a distance charge.

Seoul Station and the city centre, with the most places to stay — and the Seoul most visitors had in mind.

The trade-off: The walk to KINTEX after the show. The city ran a shuttle for Coldplay, but there's no guarantee it will for every concert.

Jongno and Myeongdong by Line 3 — One train, a long ride

Suits: People already staying near Jongno or Myeongdong.

Getting there: Board at Daehwa, four minutes from the stadium. Jongno 3-ga is 20 stops; Chungmuro, for Myeongdong, is 22. No change of train, standard subway fare.

Old central Seoul, with markets and hotels, on the same line as the stadium.

The trade-off: Daehwa is the end-of-line station the whole crowd walks to — for Coldplay the city told people to use KINTEX instead — and then it's twenty-plus stops.

Ilsan — More hotels, a short ride

Suits: People who couldn't get a room near KINTEX and don't want the ride into Seoul.

Getting there: Two to five kilometres from the stadium. Ilsan Hotel K is about 2.3 km, Anook Hotel Ilsan 2.4 km, Queentown hotel 3.5 km. A short taxi, or a few stops back along Line 3 against the crowd's direction.

Goyang's main residential district, with shopping streets and business hotels.

The trade-off: Taxis near the stadium after a sold-out show are hard to get; walking 2 km is doable, if not pleasant.

Things that will catch you out

Many of the nearest places are apartments Worth checking

Several of the closest listings on Booking.com are short-term apartments rather than hotels. There's usually no front desk, so arrange late check-in before you book if you're coming straight from the show.

K-pop, the rest of the day

Most people here have come a long way for one show, and Seoul is the capital of the music they came for. Dance classes and K-pop stage shows in Hongdae take an hour or two; BTS fan tours take half a day or more.

Keep show day for the show, and do the K-pop day before or after it.

What we could not verify yet

  • Sunday last trains on Line 3 from Daehwa. Two timetable services disagree by about an hour and we couldn't read Korail's own timetable, so we haven't printed times. Check Korail's timetable for your date.
  • Whether Goyang runs the KINTEX shuttle for every large concert, or only ran it for Coldplay.
  • The final list of Bruno Mars nights — the ticketing page and press reports don't agree yet.
  • The stadium's capacity in concert configuration. Around 40,000 is widely reported; the exact figure depends on the stage set-up.
