Where to stay for Wonderfruit

Gate hours below are from the official 2026 FAQ. Resident Advisor lists a 15:00 Thursday opening against the FAQ's 16:00 — we've used the festival's own figure.

Camping means no curfew, no nightly transfer and no taxi fares. If you came for the late-night programme, it's the easier option. The catch is that no accommodation is included in a ticket. General Camping is a separate THB 1,500 pass, and you bring your own tent — none are provided or rented on site. You'll need to bring a tent with you, pitches are first come, first served, and the festival itself says the showers aren't hot.

A hotel gets you air conditioning, a lock and a comfortable bed, but means leaving before midnight each night. That's fine for plenty of people — you can be on site from 8am to midnight, sixteen hours, and still get a proper night's sleep. Just decide before you go, rather than finding out at the gate.

The in-between options — the festival's own Boutique Camping and Slow Wonder cabins — both sold out in 2025, and the cabins cost six figures in baht. If those are gone when you book, it really is a tent or a hotel.

Distances are to the venue gates. The 15, 16 and 22km figures are the festival's own measurements to its partner hotels; the others are estimated from those and marked with a tilde (~). Drive times are off-peak and don't allow for twenty-five thousand people leaving on a two-lane road at once.

Prices are per night in early December, from published and booking-site rates in September 2026. They're ranges, not quotes.

If you're not camping, the official shuttle is how you'll get around. One pass gives unlimited journeys for the whole festival, booked through the BusX app, between the site and a few named Pattaya hotels. It cost THB 1,500 in the first price tier in both 2024 and 2025, rising for later buyers, with single walk-on trips at THB 350 and no guaranteed seat.

First, it sells out. In 2025 the official page said the unlimited passes had sold out before the gates even opened. If you're staying in a hotel, buy the pass in the first tier, or expect to use Grab all week.

Second, the pickup hotels change every year, and the 2026 list isn't out yet. In 2024 the pickup points were the Mövenpick, Centara Life, COSI and Dusit Thani. In 2025 Centara Life and COSI were dropped, and Centre Point Prime and Wyndham Jomtien were added — only two of the four stayed. Guides listing "the four shuttle hotels" are using old information, and the festival's own shuttle and hotel pages still say "coming soon". In past years they've gone live in late October.

So stay within walking distance of a hotel that's been on the list before, rather than relying on one property. Na Jomtien and Jomtien have had a stop in both years; Pratumnak never has.

• Grab. The festival runs a Ride-Share Station for Grab near the Box Office.
• Taxis. From the festival’s own Taxi Zone, at set rates.

Where pickups happen: Wonderfruit publishes both points. The Ride-Share Station for Grab is near the Box Office, and the Taxi Zone is "just past the Ride-Share Station, where a fleet of taxis with set rates will be available" — turn left on the road just past the Box Office and follow the queue. Both are marked on the festival map and app.

The festival sets Taxi Zone fares on site, so we don't estimate them. Grab prices change with demand, so we don't list those either.

• The festival advises: don't accept rides from taxi drivers who approach you, and travel in groups.
• Leaving by taxi means leaving for the night — the gates shut at midnight and don't reopen until eight.

The column that matters most here is the night desk: whether anyone will be at reception when you get back. Festival-goers come back at hours small guesthouses aren't staffed for, and a twenty-five-minute drive to a hotel with a night porter beats a five-minute drive to a locked door.

Eight of the twelve places below have a 24-hour front desk. The other four are marked "Unchecked": ask before you book if you'll be out late.

Rates are lead-in prices for two people found in September 2026, not quotes for your dates. "Unchecked" means we couldn't confirm the reception hours — ask before you book if you'll be back late.

Two things are true here, and they point in opposite directions.

Pattaya doesn't sell out. Chonburi had over sixty-eight thousand hotel rooms at the last count, and the hotel association expects 80–85% occupancy at the peak of high season — leaving around ten thousand rooms empty on the busiest night of the year.

But this fortnight really is busy. Tomorrowland's first Thai festival runs 11–13 December at Wisdom Valley, in the same district — fifty thousand people a day, around 80% of them flying in, and no camping, so they all need somewhere to stay. Booking.com saw Pattaya searches for those dates rise nearly 14% year on year. Add the Thai long weekend of 5–7 December, during Wonderfruit, and Constitution Day on the 10th, and the whole 3–13 December period in Bang Lamung is under real pressure.

Ticket prices also rise on a published schedule — worth knowing even though we don't sell tickets. Wonderfruit prices its passes in dated tiers, and the increases are steep:

Prices from the festival's own ticket page, checked on 5 September 2026. The difference between the September tier and the door price is ฿9,100 on a full pass — the door price is nearly double. In past years tiers have sold out early, so treat these dates as the latest a tier could last, not a guarantee.

So only a few things are really urgent:

• The shuttle pass — sold out in 2025 before the gates opened. Buy it in the first tier.
• On-site Boutique Camping and Slow Wonder cabins — both sold out in 2025.
• Well-reviewed places in Na Jomtien and Jomtien — not many of them, for a very busy fortnight.
• Ordinary Pattaya hotels — won't sell out, so these can wait.

Book Wednesday 2 to Tuesday 8 December rather than Thursday to Monday. Arriving a day early avoids the traffic out of Bangkok before the holiday weekend, and means you won't be rushing to make Thursday's entry window, which closes at midnight. And Monday is the worst day of the year to leave: camping check-out is noon, the gates are shut, and it's a public holiday with the whole country driving back to Bangkok. A cheap room for Monday night is the best insurance for your trip.

Tomorrowland Thailand, four days later — 11–13 December at Wisdom Valley, in the same district. A hundred and fifty thousand tickets sold in an hour and no camping, which is what makes this fortnight so busy. If you're going to both, book them as one trip.
