Bang Lamung, Chonburi · 2–14 December 2026
Eleven days, two festivals, one district
Wonderfruit runs 3–7 December and Tomorrowland Thailand runs 11–13 December. They're four days apart in the same district, and together they bring roughly a hundred and seventy-five thousand festival visits to one part of Chonburi. Few guides to either festival mention the other.
If you're going to both, book all eleven nights as one stay — not two bookings with a gap in the middle, because the nights in between go first.
Stay centrally rather than near either site. The two venues aren't close to each other, and a base near one is awkward for the other.
Use 8 and 9 December for anything that isn't a festival. They're the only two ordinary days in the whole trip.
The eleven days, one by one
Two Thai public holidays fall in this period, both on key days — the day one festival ends, and the day before the other begins. It's the most useful thing to know before you book flights.
| Date | What's on | Public holiday | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wed 2 Dec | Arrive | — | The day before Wonderfruit opens. Arriving on a working Thursday before a long weekend is worse. |
| Thu 3 Dec | Wonderfruit day 1 | — | The gate closes at midnight and doesn't reopen until eight. |
| Fri 4 Dec | Wonderfruit day 2 | — | A working Friday on the roads out of Bangkok, right before the long weekend. |
| Sat 5 Dec | Wonderfruit day 3 | King Bhumibol's birthday | Father's Day. The holiday falls on the Saturday this year. |
| Sun 6 Dec | Wonderfruit day 4 | — | The busiest weekend of the year for Thai visitors to this coast. |
| Mon 7 Dec | Wonderfruit day 5 · closes | Public holiday in lieu | Because the 5th is a Saturday, the holiday moves to this Monday. Wonderfruit ends on a day the whole country has off. |
| Tue 8 Dec | Gap day | — | The first working day after the long weekend — the cheapest night of the eleven, and the quietest roads. |
| Wed 9 Dec | Gap day | — | The quietest day of the eleven. If you're doing one day trip, do it today. |
| Thu 10 Dec | Gap day | Constitution Day | A national public holiday, and the start of the second wave of visitors to this coast. |
| Fri 11 Dec | Tomorrowland day 1 | Not a holiday, but widely taken off | A working Friday between Thursday's holiday and the weekend. Many people take it off, making a four-day weekend. |
| Sat 12 Dec | Tomorrowland day 2 | — | The busiest day — most people with one-day tickets come today. |
| Sun 13 Dec | Tomorrowland day 3 · closes | — | Closing night, and Monday is a normal working day. |
| Mon 14 Dec | Leave | — | Fifty thousand people check out of the same area on the same morning. |
King Bhumibol's birthday is 5 December, a Saturday in 2026, so the public holiday moves to Monday the 7th. Constitution Day is Thursday 10 December. Friday the 11th is officially a normal working day — which is why so many people take it off to make a long weekend.
Why the nights in between book up first
There are three clear nights between the festivals: 8, 9 and 10 December. That's not long enough for hotels in the area to free up again.
Wonderfruit visitors book until the 8th and leave; Tomorrowland visitors book from the 10th. People going to both often book two separate stays, pay arrival rates twice, and find at the second check-in that mid-December in Chonburi is anything but quiet.
One booking for the whole stay is usually cheaper per night, and always simpler. There's no second check-in at the busiest time, no risk of the middle nights going while you decide, and no moving your luggage on Constitution Day, one of the busiest travel days on this coast.

Both venues are in Bang Lamung district, which is what makes this trip work — but they aren't close to each other. Wonderfruit is at The Fields by Siam Country Club, off Route 36 inland from the coast. Tomorrowland is at Wisdom Valley in Khao Mai Kaeo, further inland.
So the best base is the one with the most rooms, the most taxis and the shortest average drive to both — central Pattaya, not somewhere next to either venue. The downside is driving through the city's traffic, which is heavy on the two holiday days.
Each festival guide has its own area comparison, and they differ in places because the two festivals have different problems: seven areas for Wonderfruit, where the midnight gate rule decides whether a hotel makes sense at all, and six for Tomorrowland, where nobody agrees exactly where the venue is.
| If you're going to | Book | Nights | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Both festivals | Wednesday 2 – Monday 14 December, one stay | 12 | See stays |
| Wonderfruit only | Wednesday 2 – Tuesday 8 December | 6 | See stays |
| Tomorrowland only | Thursday 10 – Monday 14 December | 4 | See stays |
Dates are set to the whole stay, Wednesday 2 to Monday 14 December, because that's how we'd book this trip. Change them on the booking page if you're only going to one festival.
What to do on 8 and 9 December
These are the only two ordinary days of the eleven — after the long weekend and before Constitution Day, with quieter roads and fewer crowds on the coast. Chonburi has the Sanctuary of Truth, the islands off Bali Hai, and the vineyards inland near both sites.
Don't plan a day trip on the 10th or 11th — the public holiday and the day after are the busiest days on the roads.

Where to stay for Wonderfruit — seven areas, and the midnight gate rule that decides whether a hotel is worth it. Getting there from Bangkok — every airport transfer, with prices and times.
Where to stay for Tomorrowland Thailand — six areas, and why two independent sources put the venue somewhere most guides don't. Getting to Wisdom Valley — why no camping means six journeys, not one.
